Susan E. Kim is a television and feature film picture editor.

Her recent work includes A SMALL LIGHT, the critically-acclaimed limited drama series for NatGeo/Disney+, inspired by the true story of Miep Gies. She is also an editor on PACHINKO (Season 1 and 2), the Apple TV+ series which has garnered dozens of nominations and awards, including the Critics Choice Award, Film Independent Spirit Award, AFI Award and a Peabody Award.

Recently, Susan was an editor on the anthology series LITTLE AMERICA (Season 2) for Apple TV+, helmed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Sian Heder and award-winning writer and producer Lee Eisenberg. 

She was also a co-editor on BLOOD (dir. Bradley Rust Gray), an independent feature that won a U.S. Dramatic Special Jury Award at the 2022 Sundance Film Festival, where it premiered. Her prior feature film as an editor, TWO YELLOW LINES, won Best Narrative Feature at the BZN International Film Festival and is distributed through Universal Pictures. 

As an editor, Susan has worked across a range of content, including unscripted work, commercials and music concerts. She began her career as an Assistant Editor on projects that include the Emmy-winning HBO series EUPHORIA and the Duplass Brothers HBO series, ROOM 104. Her credits also include films such as SHORT TERM 12, STANFORD PRISON EXPERIMENT, AMERICAN PASTORAL and UNDERWORLD: BLOOD WARS. 

A foundation in the arts from a young age has informed her practice as a versatile editor with a range of interests and skills. Susan received a BA with a focus on filmmaking, creative writing and theater from the University of Iowa and an MFA in the Film/Video Program from the California Institute of the Arts. To this day, her background in experimental filmmaking is a source of inspiration, instilling a spirit of open-minded collaboration.
  
In 2021, Susan was awarded the Sally Menke Memorial Fellowship, an honor that is given to one editor each year by the Sundance Institute. She is an alumna of the ACE Diversity Mentorship Program and has served as a Junior Mentor in the program.

Susan is proudly Korean-American, born in Chicago, Illinois and raised in the Midwest. She currently resides in Los Angeles. When she's not in the editing room, Susan loves exploring all things food and fitness, traveling around the world and taking epic walks in new cities.
